RENO — On Tuesday at about 4:30 p.m., there was a report of several subjects in the area of Sage Street Park shooting towards the apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Ninth Street. 

Witnesses reported seeing at least five subjects in the area of the Sage Street Park and two of them were armed with handguns. After the shooting, the suspects left the area on foot and also in two vehicles, which were described as a blue mini-van and a silver or light blue passenger car.

The two victims’ vehicles were described as a white passenger car, which was recovered by the Reno Police Department, and a red passenger car that is still outstanding.

At this time, this shooting appears to be gang related, though the motive is unknown. Witnesses described the shooting suspects as being Hispanic male adults. One was wearing a white T-shirt and the second was wearing a blue and white striped shirt.
