SPD responds to fight, report of shots fired
The Sparks Police Department received a call from a witness reporting what appeared to be a group of men about to get involved in a fight. A second witness called in to report that shots had been fired from the same group of people.

Stabbing in Sparks
On Tuesday (5/7) at approximately 7:13 a.m. the Sparks Police Department received a call of a man yelling for help. Witnesses indicated a male who was bleeding was leaving in a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped by Sparks Police near the intersection of El Rancho Blvd and D St. in Sparks.

On Thursday (5/2), at approximately 8:17 p.m., Sparks police officers responded to Sparks Middle School at 2275 18th St on a report of a robbery. Once on scene, officers met with the victim a 12-year-old male juvenile.

SPD recovers stolen property
Last Friday (4/26), detectives from the Sparks Police Department were conducting an investigation into a series of residential, commercial and storage unit burglaries. Detectives developed information that indicated the suspect in this case, Troy Wise, had been acting as a fence for stolen property.

SPD responded to 'shots fired' call
Saturday (4/20) at approximately 2:36 pm, the Sparks Police Department responded to a call of shots being fired in the area of 18th and Wedekind Road. Upon arrival, officers met with witnesses, who stated that in the area of Gault and Wedekind they observed a black passenger car, possibly a BMW or a Mercedes and an unknown make or model white over red convertible drive up along side one another.
